Vito the pug wins best in show at National Dog Show in Philadelphia
Vito the pug has won best in show at the 92nd National Dog Show, marking the first pug victory in over 20 years. The 2.5-year-old pug triumphed over about 2,000 dogs at the event in Philadelphia. Vito, who has won 25 best-in-show titles, defeated several breeds, including a Welsh terrier and a giant schnauzer. The second place went to a Welsh terrier named Verde. The show allows any American Kennel Club-registered dog to compete. Judges evaluate dogs based on appearance, temperament, and breed standards. The winning owner receives a $2,000 prize.
