Vito the pug wins Best in Show at National Dog Show in Philadelphia
Vito, a two-and-a-half-year-old pug, won Best in Show at the 92nd National Dog Show in Philadelphia, beating over 2,000 dogs. This marks the first time a pug has won the title since the show began its current format in 2002. Vito's handler praised his compact build and impressive movement. The pug has already earned 25 best in show titles and is the No. 2 toy dog in the U.S. after recent wins at major dog shows. Reserve Best in Show went to Verde, a Welsh terrier. Other finalists included a clumber spaniel, an Ibizan hound, a Berger Picard, a Lhasa apso, and a giant schnauzer.
