Voia develops AI-driven VFX pipeline for filmmakers
AI startup Voia has recently announced the development of its visual effects (VFX) pipeline. The company aims to enhance creativity in filmmaking by integrating artificial intelligence and automation into VFX processes. CEO Avner Braverman emphasized that the platform is designed "for artists, by artists." Founded in 2022 in Sunnyvale, California, Voia was started by Braverman and tech veterans Haim Helman and Noam Malali. They created a team that includes experienced professionals from Hollywood, such as Scot Barbour and Mitch Singer. So far, Voia has raised around $10 million from founder investments and backers like Keshet International and WPP. The company's goal is to make VFX work more accessible, especially for those without large budgets. Barbour stated that their pipeline is intended to give creative freedom to high-end filmmakers while also catering to smaller production companies. Voia offers two types of pipelines: a basic one for platforms like TikTok and a professional version that includes tools from gaming engines and VFX software. Currently, Voia's technology is being tested by a select group of early customers, including Green Productions and BBDO. The company will release an updated version next month that supports professional cameras from ARRI and Red, enhancing its capabilities further.
