Voice actress Junko Hori known for Ninja Hattori dies at 89

Junko Hori, the voice actress known for her role as Ninja Hattori, has died at the age of 89. Her talent agency, Production baobab, announced her passing on November 25, stating she died from senility on November 18. Hori voiced the character in the Ninja Hattori-kun anime series, which aired from 1981 to 1987, totaling 694 episodes. She was also recognized for her work in other anime, including Obake no Q-Tarō and Chimpui. Ninja Hattori-kun is based on a manga by Fujiko Fujio’s Motoo Abiko, serialized from 1964 to 1988. A second manga series was published from 1981 to 1988.
