Volatus and RigiTech enhance medical drone deliveries in Canada
Volatus Aerospace has teamed up with RigiTech, a drone technology company from Switzerland, to improve medical delivery services using advanced drone technology. This partnership will integrate RigiTech’s Eiger drone into Volatus’ delivery network. The Eiger drone is capable of carrying loads of up to 3 kilograms over distances of 100 kilometers. It is designed for long-range deliveries, making it a valuable addition to Volatus’ current capabilities. Glen Lynch, CEO of Volatus, stated that this collaboration will help them reach more distant areas, enhancing medical deliveries in Canada and elsewhere. Volatus Aerospace currently runs drone delivery services in the Greater Toronto Area and Edmonton, with operations managed from a control center in Vaughan. With the Eiger drone, they plan to expand their service to remote and underserved areas. RigiTech’s CEO, Adam Klaptocz, emphasized the significance of this partnership. He noted that Volatus’ experience with remote operations makes them an ideal partner to showcase the Eiger’s capabilities. Volatus will host a webinar on March 25, where CEO Glen Lynch will discuss the importance of partnerships in strengthening their market position. Both companies aim to advance logistical operations using drone technology. Volatus has a strong background in aerial solutions, serving various industries, including healthcare. RigiTech focuses on efficient drone designs tailored for specific client needs.
