Voters divided on Trump's policies after reelection

A recent Fox News Poll shows that voters are divided on President Trump's policies after his reelection. The survey was released on Thursday and covers opinions on various aspects of Trump's agenda. One of Trump's most popular policies is banning transgender women from participating in women's sports, which 68% of voters support. Other favored policies include making English the official language of the U.S., with 66% in favor, and deporting illegal immigrants, supported by 63%. Voters also back acknowledging only two genders and increasing U.S. oil production. However, opinions are more divided on some issues. For example, 46% of voters support reducing the number of federal employees, while 51% oppose it. Closing the Department of Education is particularly unpopular, with only 32% supporting it compared to 65% who oppose it. Other less popular proposals include taking over the Panama Canal and renaming the Gulf of Mexico. While partisanship influences opinions, some policies garner similar levels of support among both Republicans and Democrats. For instance, banning trans women from women's sports receives support from 90% of Republicans but only 43% of Democrats. The poll also reveals concerns among voters about Trump’s use of executive actions, with nearly 70% worried they might disrupt the country’s system of checks and balances. Additionally, voters generally view tariffs negatively, fearing they may harm the economy. The survey was conducted from March 14-17, 2025, and included 994 registered voters. The results have a margin of error of ±3 percentage points.
