Wall collapse on Muktaram Babu Street injures worker
A construction worker, Kayum Mollah, was injured when an outside wall of a building on Muktaram Babu Street collapsed during repairs on Sunday. The wall had not yet been demolished, and scaffolding failed during the incident. Emergency services responded quickly, and Mollah was rescued after clinging to an iron beam. He was taken to the Medical College Hospital and is reported to be out of danger. The building, over 50 years old, was undergoing renovations with KMC approval. Local officials noted previous complaints about the building's condition, but no action was taken before the collapse.
