Warriors defeat Stingers, reach women's hockey final

The Waterloo Warriors won their game against the Concordia Stingers, earning a spot in the U SPORTS women's hockey championship final. The Warriors, who were seeded eighth, will face the winner of the semifinal game between the Bishop's Gaiters and the Toronto Varsity Blues in the final on Sunday. Other goal scorers for the Warriors included Gracey Smith, Kassidy McCarthy, and Madison Pritchard. McCarthy also contributed with two assists. For the Stingers, Alexandra-Anne Boyer found the net. The Warriors outshot the Stingers 32-27 but both teams struggled on the power play. The Stingers went 0-for-1, while the Warriors were 0-for-3.
