Water bombers combat bushfire in Woodvale, Perth

A fire broke out early Sunday morning in Yellagonga Regional Park in Woodvale, located in Perth's northern suburbs. The fire began just before 1 AM near the intersection of Woodvale Drive and Wanneroo Road. Water bombers were quickly deployed to combat the flames. By around 7 AM, multiple aircraft were dropping fire retardant to help contain the blaze. Authorities from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services state that there is no immediate threat to homes or lives. However, they advised people to stay away from the park, which is a popular spot for cyclists and walkers. Currently, there is a bushfire advice warning for the area bordered by Wanneroo Road, Whitfords Avenue, Duffy Terrace, and Woodvale Drive.
