Waterloo school reopens using portable classrooms for students
Elizabeth Ziegler Public School in Waterloo will remain closed for the rest of the school year due to safety issues. In-person learning is set to resume on the school property using portable classrooms, with plans to start as early as this Friday. Over 500 students and staff will return, with most in portables on-site. French immersion students will move to Sandowne Public School, while other specialized programs will relocate to JW Gerth and Brigadoon Public Schools. The school board is adding seven portables, along with trailers for washrooms and offices. Transportation arrangements are being finalized for students moving to different schools.
