WBBSE issues notices to three teachers for misconduct

The state school education department in West Bengal is taking action against three teachers linked to a scam involving the Taruner Swapna tablet program. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has been asked to send show-cause notices to the teachers. Two of the accused are from East Burdwan and one is from Murshidabad. Investigations found that these teachers misused Rs 10,000 that was meant to buy tablets for students, diverting the money to other accounts. Legal action has already begun against them. An official from the education department stated that the teachers will have a chance to respond in writing. They may also be called for a hearing. If necessary, a formal charge sheet will be created before any further actions are taken.
