Wellington Zoo has announced the death of Luna, a capybara that had been unwell for some time. Despite the care provided by staff, she did not recover. With Luna's passing, the zoo now has only one capybara remaining. The popular "Capybara Encounter" will be canceled for January. Previously, the zoo had two female capybaras.
