Wes Anderson is being celebrated with his first career retrospective at the Cinémathèque Française in Paris. The exhibition opened on March 19 and will run until July 27. After that, it will move to the Design Museum in London in November 2025. Anderson, known for his unique film style, has been preserving important items from his movies. Curators spent two-and-a-half years sorting through over 500 exhibits from his collection. The display includes famous items like Margot Tenenbaum’s fur coat and Sam’s scout uniform from “Moonrise Kingdom." Audiences can also see models and props from “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “Asteroid City,” along with storyboards and character models from his animated films “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and “Isle of Dogs.” In addition to the retrospective, Anderson's new film, “The Phoenician Scheme,” is expected to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. This movie features a star-studded cast including Benicio del Toro and Tom Hanks. It is about a father-daughter relationship within a family business and represents a change for Anderson, as he is working with a new cinematographer. “The Phoenician Scheme” is set to be released on May 30.
