Western Railway launches 29 special trains for summer
Western Railway has announced the launch of 29 pairs of special trains to help manage the expected increase in passengers during the summer holiday season. These trains will provide a total of 930 trips, focusing on busy regions like Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, as well as areas in eastern, southern, and different parts of Gujarat. The new summer special trains will mainly serve key routes that experience high passenger traffic. Among the 29 pairs, 16 are aimed at destinations in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, and Rajasthan. This addition will help travelers returning home or heading out on vacation. Western Railway is also offering 7 pairs of trains to eastern states, including Bihar, Odisha, and West Bengal. These trains will assist many migrant workers and families traveling home for the festive season. In the southern region, there are 2 pairs of special trains heading to Karnataka and Telangana, with a total of 106 trips planned. Furthermore, there will be 16 pairs of special trains running from major stations in Gujarat such as Ahmedabad and Vadodara. These services will enhance travel options for those visiting family or exploring the state this summer. To improve passenger comfort, Western Railway has added around 300 general second-class coaches to the special trains. This increase in capacity aims to support the high number of travelers, particularly migrant workers and daily commuters, ensuring a smoother travel experience during the busy season.
