Weymouth man killed by car in Quincy accident

A man from Weymouth died after being hit by a car in Quincy on Monday night. The incident happened around 7 p.m. while he was crossing Southern Artery near Broad Street. The 58-year-old pedestrian was taken to a hospital in Boston, where he died the following morning. The driver of the car, an 82-year-old man from Quincy, was not injured in the crash. The Norfolk District Attorney's Office said no charges have been filed yet. They are waiting to release the pedestrian’s name until his family has been notified. The Quincy Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the accident.
