WhatsApp developing AI features for message rewriting, voice chats

WhatsApp is working on two new features that use artificial intelligence. These features aim to enhance how users interact with the app. The first feature is called the AI-powered Rewrite tool. This tool can change the style of a typed message and also proofreads it for spelling and grammar errors. The Rewrite tool will be available as a floating action button with a pencil icon, located above the Send button. Users will see this button after typing a message. When they click it, they can choose from different rewriting options, such as Funny, Sarcastic, or Supportive. The second new feature revolves around two-way voice chats with Meta AI. Currently, users can only chat with the AI through text. However, a new update hints at live voice conversations in the future. Users will have options during the call, such as switching to text or muting their audio. These features are still in development, so they aren't available for public use yet. WhatsApp plans to improve user experiences with these upcoming AI tools.
