Whittaker prioritizes bigger fights over Dolidze callout
Robert Whittaker is looking for bigger fights and is not interested in a match with Roman Dolidze. Dolidze recently called out both Whittaker and Israel Adesanya after winning his latest fight against Marvin Vettori at UFC Fight Night 254 in Las Vegas. Whittaker, a former UFC middleweight champion, quickly dismissed Dolidze's challenge on his podcast. He stated, “I’m trying to fight a top-five guy, dude. Join the queue.” He wasn't impressed with Dolidze’s recent performance and only watched a portion of the fight before moving on to a video game. Whittaker mentioned that the fight felt repetitive, similar to their previous encounter. He suggested that Dolidze and Vettori should have another match to settle their rivalry properly. Looking ahead, Whittaker is aiming to fight former champion Sean Strickland on June 28 at UFC 317 during International Fight Week. He is also considering a move up to the light heavyweight division after this fight. Whittaker plans to evaluate his options based on his performance and fitness in the upcoming bout.
