"Who Do You Think You Are?" returns with eight celebrities
The upcoming season of "Who Do You Think You Are?" will feature a star-studded line-up. Hollywood actor Andrew Garfield, pop star Will Young, and EastEnders' Ross Kemp are among the eight celebrities who will participate. In this series, celebrities will explore their family histories, revealing surprising and emotional stories. The show will cover nearly 800 years of history, touching on themes of love, war, and identity. Fans can expect to see locations across the UK and other countries including Jamaica, India, and Poland. The series is set to air in Spring 2025 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, but an exact release date has not yet been confirmed. Each celebrity's story promises to be unique. Andrew Garfield will revisit his family's roots in pre-War Poland and explore links to early Hollywood. Diane Morgan will uncover a touching family story involving her ancestor’s fight for rights. Ross Kemp will travel to Casablanca to solve a family mystery and learn about his great-great-grandfather's history as a drummer during the Napoleonic wars. Meanwhile, Aisling Bea will recount her family's connection to significant events in Irish history. Will Young will discover the wartime experiences of his grandfather, and Fred Sirieix will explore his French heritage, uncovering a romantic family history tied to winemaking. Layton Williams will reveal his London roots before traveling to Jamaica, while Mishal Husain will trace her family's illustrious past in India and the USA. A trailer for the new season has not yet been released. The show is produced by Wall to Wall Media.
