Wider South Luzon Expressway opens before Christmas to ease holiday traffic

By the week before Christmas, a wider section of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) will open, connecting Muntinlupa and Laguna. This expansion increases road capacity to help manage holiday traffic. The 29-kilometer stretch from Susanna Heights to Calamba will feature a 6×6 lane configuration. This change aims to reduce congestion during the busy travel season. Additionally, toll plazas will now use automatic license plate cameras, allowing for barrier-less entry. This is expected to further ease traffic flow on the expressway.
