Widow kills father-in-law over unwanted advances in Ghaziabad
Aarti, a widow from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has been accused of murdering her father-in-law, Pati Singh, in a shocking incident. The 64-year-old man's body was discovered in his home after a neighbor noticed blood leaking from beneath the door. When the police arrived, they forced entry and found Singh's unclothed body along with a blood-covered cricket bat nearby. According to the police, Aarti admitted to the crime without hesitation. She explained that Singh had been making unwanted advances towards her for some time, which made her uncomfortable. Just days before the incident, she claimed he attempted to drag her inside the house forcefully, pushing her over the edge. Aarti had been living with Singh and her two children, moving in after a court order four months prior. Their family had experienced significant loss, with Singh's wife and son dying from COVID-19 about four years ago. On the night of the attack, Aarti locked her children in their room for safety and confronted Singh in his room. She then brutally attacked him with the cricket bat. While Aarti stated her actions were driven by rage and a need for revenge, police are exploring whether there were additional motives, such as financial gain from Singh's retirement savings. The investigation continues as they look into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
