Wild boar injures farmhand near Rajapalayam, India

A woman farmhand was attacked by a wild boar in Koomapatti, near Rajapalayam. The incident happened on Monday morning. The victim, K. Pooranam, 55, was working with two other women on a nearby farm when the wild boar charged at her. Pooranam suffered injuries to her face, back, and hand during the attack. After the incident, she was taken to the Government Hospital in Watrap for first aid. Later, she was moved to the Virudhunagar Government Medical College Hospital for further treatment. This attack highlights ongoing concerns from farmers about wild animals invading farmland.
