Willow Haven Farm opening new general store in Lehigh Valley

A new general store called Willow Haven Farm General Store is set to open in Upper Macungie Township, in the Lehigh Valley. The grand opening will take place on Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5. The store will celebrate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The store will feature a variety of products, including locally sourced organic groceries, farm items, baked goods, and a café. There will be special activities during the grand opening, such as a ribbon-cutting ceremony, games, discounts, and free samples. The manager, Wray Sargent, emphasized the goal of providing wholesome food to the community. Willow Haven Farm represents about 70 local farms and producers. It will be open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The farm, established in 2009, originally started a community-supported agriculture program where customers could invest in the farm for fresh groceries year-round. Farm owner Reuben DeMaster expressed excitement about the new store, stating it strengthens the connection between local food and the community. Everyone is welcome to shop at the general store, which adds to the smaller market already operating on-site every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
