Wilson launches limited-edition Airless 3D-printed basketball ahead of Valentine's Day
Wilson Sporting Goods has announced the return of the Airless Gen1 basketball, a 3D-printed ball that does not require inflation. This limited-edition product will be available for purchase starting February 13, ahead of Valentine's Day. The Airless Gen1 was first introduced as a prototype during the 2023 NBA Dunk Contest and sold out quickly when released in 2024. The new version maintains the same specifications as the previous model but is not fully approved for competitive play. The basketball will be sold for $2,500 on Wilson's website, with additional units available at NBA All-Star 2025 in San Francisco. The ball comes in black, natural/white, and a new burgundy color.
