Wind causes facade collapse at Dayton's Stratacache Tower
Strong winds have caused the facade of the vacant Stratacache Tower in downtown Dayton to crumble. Fire crews evacuated the building after debris began falling, with 60 feet of the top floor's parapet wall collapsing. No injuries have been reported, but some windows in the tower have been broken. N. Main Street between E. Second and E. Third Streets is closed as a precaution. Fire officials are concerned that more of the parapet wall may collapse due to ongoing windy conditions. The situation is being monitored closely.
