Woman admits to lying about Duke lacrosse players in 2006 rape case

Crystal Mangum, who falsely accused three Duke University lacrosse players of rape in 2006, has publicly admitted for the first time that her story was a lie. She made the admission during a podcast interview. Mangum, now 46 and incarcerated for a separate crime, expressed regret for her actions. She stated that she wanted validation and acknowledged that her accusations were wrong. The players were declared innocent in 2007 after the case fell apart.
