Woman arrested for smuggling MDMA in Kollam

A young woman was arrested in Kollam on Friday for smuggling drugs. Anila Raveendran, from Anchalummoodu, was found with 50 grams of MDMA. The police operation was carried out by the DANSAF team along with the local Sakthikulangara police. Anila is believed to have smuggled the drugs from Karnataka in her car. Authorities suspect she has been supplying MDMA to schools and colleges in the area. The operation was led by Kollam ACP Sharif and involved three police teams. Around 5:30 PM, officers spotted Anila's car near Neendakara Bridge. They signalled her to stop, but she did not comply. As a result, the police intercepted her vehicle and took her into custody.
