Woman avoids jail for assaulting aunt and damaging property
A 20-year-old woman, Cliodhna Wilson, avoided jail after attacking her aunt by pulling out her hair and throwing a bicycle through her window. She received a suspended sentence for criminal damage and common assault. Wilson, who has 17 previous convictions, was already on a suspended sentence when the incident occurred in June 2024. The court noted her vulnerability and recent personal struggles. The judge issued an 18-month restraining order against Wilson, preventing contact with her aunt, and ordered her to pay £80 for the damaged window.
