Woman charged for allegedly stabbing two on bus

A woman has been charged after an incident on a bus in Maroubra, Sydney. Two people were allegedly stabbed with a pen during an argument on Saturday morning. The argument started between a 41-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman while the bus traveled along Anzac Parade. As the bus neared Westfield Eastgardens, the older woman allegedly stabbed the younger woman. A 34-year-old man tried to help and was also reportedly stabbed in the altercation. Emergency services arrived at the shopping center. The 21-year-old woman received treatment at the scene and was later taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for facial injuries. The man had minor injuries and did not require further medical care. Police said that the individuals involved were not known to each other. The 41-year-old woman has been charged with wounding two people with intent to cause serious harm. She was refused bail and was scheduled to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
