Woman charged for chopper attack in Singapore food stall

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with attacking a man with a chopper at a food stall in People's Park Complex, Singapore. The incident occurred on Wednesday night around 8:45 PM. The woman, identified as He Longfeng, faces one charge of voluntarily causing harm with a weapon. The chopper used in the attack had a blade measuring 17 centimeters. She is currently being held at the Institute of Mental Health for a medical evaluation. Two men, aged 41 and 30, were taken to the hospital with injuries. A 42-year-old man also received minor treatment at the scene but refused to go to the hospital. After the attack, police cordoned off the area. Blood stains were visible on the floor among scattered items like plastic bags and food containers. Under Singapore law, the charge of causing hurt with an instrument can lead to a prison term of up to seven years, along with possible fines or caning. A court hearing for her case is set for April 4.
