Woman dies after drinking acid instead of water

A 78-year-old woman named Rajbala Devi died after accidentally drinking acid instead of water in Achharonda village. This tragic incident happened on Thursday. Rajbala had been struggling with depression since her husband's death six months ago. When she consumed the acid, she was quickly taken to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival. The police confirmed that acid consumption was the cause of death after an autopsy. Currently, no formal complaint has been filed, but authorities are looking into how the acid bottle ended up in her home. This is not the first such incident in the area. Earlier this year, another young woman in a nearby village lost her life after ingesting acid. She was found in critical condition by her relatives and died despite receiving medical attention. Her family initially resisted a post-mortem but agreed after police intervened. They noted that she had suffered a serious head injury two years earlier, which affected her health.
