A 39-year-old woman from Sullia died on Thursday at District Wenlock Hospital. Her death is suspected to be linked to complications from a dog bite. The woman first visited Sullia Taluk Hospital on March 20. After being checked by a doctor, she was sent to the District Wenlock Hospital, where she later died. District health officer Dr. Thimmaiah HR said that saliva samples have been sent for testing. They will determine the cause of death once the results come back. Initial investigations suggest she was bitten by a dog while working at a plantation in early February. It is reported that she had gone to a private hospital for treatment but may not have finished her medication. The DHO has asked the taluk health officer to prepare a detailed report on the case.
