Woman dies in Aberdeenshire car and lorry crash
A 52-year-old woman died in a crash between her car and a lorry in Aberdeenshire. The accident occurred on the A947 road, north of Oldmeldrum, early in the morning. The woman was driving a red Fiat 500 when it collided with a white Scania HGV lorry. Emergency services arrived shortly before 8:00 AM but pronounced her dead at the scene. Police Scotland is investigating the incident. Sgt Sarah Ritchie expressed condolences to the woman's family and thanked bystanders who helped at the scene. She is asking witnesses or anyone with video footage of the accident to come forward. The Scottish Ambulance Service sent one ambulance and a special operations team to assist.
