Woman dies in accidental house fire in Oakland County

A house fire in Oakland County has led to the death of a 62-year-old woman. The incident occurred on Friday morning in Commerce Township. Firefighters and deputies were called to the scene at around 10 a.m. They responded to a report that someone was trapped in an upstairs bedroom. When they arrived, the fire was extinguished and the woman was found inside the home. She was quickly taken to a local hospital but sadly was pronounced dead shortly after. Investigators believe the fire was accidental. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Fire Investigation Unit is looking into the matter further. An autopsy is planned for Saturday. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office has expressed deep condolences to the family and friends affected by this tragedy.
