Woman in critical condition after car accident in Prenton

A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Prenton. The incident happened on Prenton Hall Road around 6:50 AM on March 20. The victim, in her 60s, was struck by a black Vauxhall Zafira while crossing the road. Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. As of March 24, police confirmed she is still fighting for her life. The driver of the car remained at the scene, and police are investigating the accident. Officers set up a large cordon and closed nearby roads while they gathered evidence. They collected witness statements and checked CCTV footage. Detective Sergeant Andy Roper urged anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward. He also requested local residents with CCTV to review their recordings.
