Woman in Meerut climbs tree, mistaken for ghost

In Meerut, a woman caused alarm when she was found sitting on a tree during an evening walk. A young man spotted her and screamed, drawing a crowd. Initially, people thought she might be a ghost. The woman was later recognized as a local beggar. Despite attempts by bystanders to persuade her to come down, she remained on the tree. The police were called and spent about 30 minutes trying to convince her to climb down. Finally, the woman agreed and got down from the tree. When asked why she was up there, she said she was looking for a place to sleep. This incident worried the onlookers, many of whom tried to help her before the police arrived. Once she was safely on the ground, locals offered her food.
