A woman in Hisar is accused of trying to extort money from a man by threatening to falsely accuse him of molestation. The man, identified as Nirbhay Singh, lives in Masitan village. The incident happened on March 3 when Nirbhay was riding his scooter. The woman approached him for a ride, claiming her child needed medical help. Soon after, three men blocked his way and demanded money. They threatened to frame him for molestation if he refused. Out of fear, Nirbhay gave them Rs 14,000 but they demanded another Rs 20,000. When he said he did not have the money, they instructed him to transfer it to a mobile number. The gang continued to harass Nirbhay and even threatened to accuse him of rape if he did not comply. Eventually, he transferred an additional Rs 1,000 from a friend's phone. Nirbhay then reported the extortion to the police. A plan was set up to catch the criminals. The police arranged a meeting where they caught one of the men, identified as Krishan Kumar, accepting Rs 20,000 in cash. He has been arrested on multiple charges related to extortion and intimidation. The woman's identity and the two other accomplices remain unknown, as they are still on the run. The local police are actively searching for them.
