Woman's body found on bike path in Kedron
A woman's body was found on a bike path in Kedron, Brisbane. Authorities are investigating the incident but have not yet released more information. In other news, Premier David Crisafulli is in Canberra today. He signed an education funding deal with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. They also talked about plans for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. Crisafulli is expected to announce plans for a new $3.4 billion stadium at Victoria Park tomorrow. This decision goes against his promise during last year's election campaign to not build new stadiums. Standing next to Albanese, Crisafulli joked about their discussions, saying they could negotiate well over cannolis, a type of Italian pastry. Albanese confirmed that Crisafulli has shared cannolis with him multiple times. Previously, a funding deal set by former Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk required the Queensland government to rebuild the Gabba for the Olympics. The federal government was supposed to fund a new indoor arena for swimming. With the new stadium proposal, these agreements may need to be revised, possibly impacting the funding for the Brisbane Arena. It has been 1430 days since Brisbane was awarded the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
