Woman’s private video shared without consent in Cleveland Heights

Cleveland Heights police are looking into a report from a 20-year-old woman. She claims that a video of her having sex was shared without her consent. The incident involves her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend, who allegedly posted the video online. The woman discovered the video while checking her Instagram account. It was shared as an "Instagram Story." She said she gave the video to her boyfriend about six months ago, trusting him not to share it with anyone else. However, she learned that his ex-girlfriend found the video on his phone while he was asleep. The boyfriend claimed he did not know the video had been shared. The victim reported the incident to police, wishing for a female officer to handle her case, since the video included intimate content. She also took screenshots and saved the video to provide to law enforcement. The victim wants to file charges for pandering obscenity, a fifth-degree felony, against the woman who posted the video. An acquaintance confirmed that she saw the video on Instagram too. The case has now been referred to police detectives for further investigation.
