Women allege Matt Gaetz used adopted son's PayPal for payments for sex
Two women testified to the House Ethics Committee that former Rep. Matt Gaetz paid them for sexual favors, using the PayPal account of Nestor Galban, whom Gaetz refers to as his "adopted son." Their lawyer, Joel Leppard, discussed the allegations in media interviews. One woman claimed to have witnessed Gaetz having sex with a 17-year-old friend at a party in July 2017. Leppard stated that payments for sex occurred from mid-2017 to early 2019, involving various events and trips. A federal investigation into Gaetz was closed without charges. The House Ethics Committee has not yet released its report on the allegations. Gaetz has denied all accusations.
