Woolite Delicates laundry detergent recalled for bacterial contamination
A recall has been issued for Woolite Delicates laundry detergent due to potential bacteria contamination. Over 16,000 bottles sold on Amazon in January are affected. The recall was announced on Thursday by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The detergent may contain Pseudomonas bacteria, which can cause serious infections in some people. This bacteria is commonly found in soil and water. People with weakened immune systems or medical devices are at a higher risk for infections if they come into contact with it. Consumers with bottles marked with lot codes S24364, S24365, or S24366 should stop using the product immediately. So far, no injuries or incidents have been reported. Customers who bought the detergent should contact the manufacturer, Reckitt, for a full refund. To return the product, they must mark "Recalled" on the back of the bottle and email a photo showing the lot code. After receiving the refund, they should tightly close the bottle and throw it away in the trash, without recycling or emptying it first.
