World Water Day celebrated at Kukkarahalli Lake, Mysuru

Several events took place at Kukkarahalli Lake on Saturday to celebrate World Water Day. The activities were organized by various groups, including the University of Mysore and the Water Forum Mysuru. Participants enjoyed birdwatching walks, tree walks, and nature walks. These activities aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting wetland ecosystems. Students from the Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts (CAVA) also took part by creating artwork that showcased the lake's natural beauty. In addition to the walks, there was a discussion focused on how the community can work together to conserve biodiversity. The talk highlighted ways to make Mysuru more resilient against climate change.
