Wrigley Field to host first New Year's Eve NHL Winter Classic featuring Blackhawks and Blues
Wrigley Field will host the NHL Winter Classic for the second time on New Year’s Eve, featuring the Chicago Blackhawks against the St. Louis Blues. This marks the first Winter Classic scheduled on December 31. The game will showcase Blackhawks star Connor Bedard and Blues player Jordan Kyrou. Chicago has lost all four previous Winter Classics, while the visiting team has won nine of the 15 games played. After the Winter Classic, Wrigley Field will host additional college hockey games on January 3 and 4. The venue now features two large video boards, enhancing the fan experience compared to the previous event in 2009.
