Xbox Game Pass offers streaming perk for AC Shadows

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a new perk related to the recently launched game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Although the game is not currently available on Game Pass, players who buy it can enjoy a special feature. Subscribers who purchase Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Xbox Series X or S can stream the game through the cloud. This streaming option is already part of the Xbox Game Pass service, but not all games can be streamed. Notably, games not included in Game Pass may also be eligible for streaming. However, there are limitations. Players who buy physical copies of the game will not be able to use this streaming perk. Only digital purchases are eligible for streaming under Xbox's "Stream Your Own Game" program. Furthermore, this streaming option is only available for those subscribed to the Ultimate tier of Xbox Game Pass. This means that subscribers to the Standard, Core, or PC Game Pass cannot access this feature. This move appears to encourage more players to choose the Ultimate subscription, which is the most expensive tier. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is one of the biggest titles of 2025 added to the streaming catalogue, joining other popular games such as Baldur’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
