Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch adds sexual content warning
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch has received a 12+ rating from PEGI, the Pan European Game Information. This is similar to the other games in the series, but this version includes a new warning for sexual content. Players have noticed this 'sex' warning because it was not present in the original Wii U version of the game. A social media post highlighted the differences between the two editions. It asked, "WHAT DID THEY ADD??" The reason for this warning, according to PEGI, is that some dialogue in the new edition contains sexual innuendos. One example is the phrase, "I'm going in for a quickie." It’s unclear if this line was part of the original game. Despite the new warning, the content remains relatively tame. The descriptions for both versions of the game detail some violence. The original Wii U version talks about realistic violence toward fantasy characters, while the Switch edition mentions non-realistic violence toward human characters. Both descriptions also mention some mild swearing and offensive language. In summary, while there's a new 'sex' warning in the Definitive Edition, it mainly reflects mild sexual innuendo rather than explicit content.
