Xgimi launches Play 6 and Play 6e projectors in China
Xgimi has introduced two new portable projectors in China: the Play 6 and Play 6e. These projectors aim to provide a large-screen experience in a compact design. The Play 6 is priced at 2,099 yuan (about $290), while the Play 6e costs 1,799 yuan (around $250). Both projectors have a built-in 360-degree gimbal. This feature allows users to adjust the projection angle smoothly. The design is sleek and the size is comparable to a milk tea cup, making them easy to carry. The Play 6 has won the 2025 German iF Design Award for its impressive design and functionality. The projectors use advanced DLP technology with a small DMD chip. They produce 600 CVIA lumens and support native 1080p resolution, along with 2K and 4K content. The Play 6 has a throw ratio of 1.21:1, while the Play 6e has a ratio of 1.2:1. This means they can project large images, even in small spaces like apartments or hotel rooms. In terms of portability, the Play 6 features a powerful 20,000mAh battery. This battery allows for up to 2.5 hours of video playback and up to 6 hours for audio. The Play 6e does not have a built-in battery, but both projectors can function as Bluetooth speakers when not projecting. They also have synchronized lighting effects. Audio quality is another highlight of both models. They come with dual 6W speakers, with the Play 6 featuring Harman Kardon branding. Both support Dolby Audio and provide 360-degree surround sound, ensuring a rich audio experience for users.
