Yogi Adityanath criticizes West Bengal's Holi violence
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized West Bengal's handling of recent violence in Birbhum during Holi celebrations. He highlighted the peaceful Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, contrasting it with the clashes in West Bengal. Adityanath pointed out that while Uttar Pradesh managed a large event without incidents, West Bengal struggled with law and order. He noted that curfews are often imposed during festivals in West Bengal. The March 14 clash in Birbhum resulted in minor injuries, with 21 arrests made. To prevent further unrest, West Bengal suspended internet services in the area and increased police presence.
