A cafe in Yorkshire has launched a very expensive Easter egg weighing 5.4 kg and priced at £395. Known as "The Grande Easter Egg," it is believed to be the UK's most costly Easter treat. This giant chocolate egg contains about 31,000 calories. That is equivalent to 58 bags of Cadbury Mini Eggs. It is made from high-quality Grand Cru Swiss chocolate using rare cocoa beans. The egg is beautifully decorated with hand-piped sugar flowers of spring blooms. The price of Easter eggs has increased significantly this year due to rising cocoa costs. Chocolatiers see this egg as both a treat and a work of art. Julie Ward, a product designer at Bettys, says Easter is a special time to showcase their skills. Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms has been making Easter eggs for over 100 years, reflecting the beauty of spring in its designs. They also offer a smaller version of the egg for £42.95. The previous year's Grande Easter Egg outshone popular competitors, reaffirming its status as a luxurious choice this season.
