Youth attacked with brick in Chandigarh, critical condition

A young man in Burail village, Chandigarh, was brutally attacked with a brick and is now in critical condition. The victim, named Arjit, suffered serious injuries to his head and ear. The attack happened on Thursday night. Witnesses report that the accused was seen eating dinner with Arjit before the assault. The attacker is currently on the run, and police are unsure of the motive behind the violence. Nand Lal, a waiter who witnessed the incident, described hearing loud noises and rushing to help. He saw the attacker hitting Arit multiple times with a brick. CCTV footage captured the accused arriving on a bicycle before the assault. Arjit was quickly taken to PGIMER hospital and is on ventilator support. Following the attack, police have started a search for the suspect and have filed a formal complaint that includes charges of attempted murder.
