Yuki Kawamura has signed a two-way contract with the Memphis Grizzlies after a standout performance in the Summer Olympics, where he averaged 20.3 points per game for Japan. At 5-8, he will be the shortest player in the NBA this season. Kawamura is recognized for his exceptional passing skills, averaging 10.0 assists per 36 minutes during the preseason. However, he struggled with scoring, failing to make shots inside the arc and connecting on only 25% of his 3-point attempts. In the upcoming 2024-25 season, Kawamura will split time between the NBA and the G League, eligible to play up to 50 games.
