Yuzvendra Chahal joins Punjab Kings for Rs 18 crore in IPL 2025 auction

Yuzvendra Chahal has been sold to the Punjab Kings for Rs 18 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. Previously with the Rajasthan Royals, Chahal is India's leading T20 wicket-taker and the only bowler with over 200 IPL wickets. Chahal's impressive performance last season made him a top target in the auction. He had taken 66 wickets for the Royals over three seasons and won the Purple Cap in his first year with them. Before joining the Royals, Chahal was the all-time leading wicket-taker for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was released by the Royals before this auction, allowing Punjab to secure him.
